ISLAM AND PEACE IN SOMALIA.

Updated-
7 June 2009 CE (1430 AH).

Promote peace in Somalia.

Welcome to Project Radio Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim.
Radio for the sake of God,
Peace through Radio,
Voice following the peace of the Sunnah.
.
.
SOMALIA PROJECT SUMMERY- The reason for conflict in Somalia and a solution.

Muslim continues to kill Muslim in Somalia.

This is forbidden in Islam.

99% of people in Somalia are Muslim but the depth of knowledge in Islam for many is low.

Clan divisions and lawless behavior overshadow the high moral code of Islam.

Religious knowledge is in Arabic but many Somalis have a limited Arabic language understanding.

This project aims to establish a Somalia wide shortwave broadcast station called Radio Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim (Radio for the sake of God, Peace through Radio, Voice following the peace of the Sunnah).

The radio will teach the high moral code of Islam in the Somali language.

PROJECT DETAIL-
Project to promote peace in Somalia- Radio Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim (Radio for the sake of God, Peace through Radio, Voice following the peace of the Sunnah).
.
Somalia problem-
The 18 year (1991 to 2009) violent civil conflict of Muslim fighting Muslim continues in Somalia. Somalia has an estimated population between 9 to 10 million.
.
In 2009 the people in Somalia are living isolated from the outside world without the normal government services that are available in the rest of the world.
.
Reason for Somalia problem-

Within Somalia there is a lack of understanding of the high moral code in Islam that forbids the doing of bad and promotes the doing of good.

Muslim killing Muslim is forbidden.

The lack of understanding of the meaning of Islam (peace through a correct understanding of God) has allowed the continual use of the different Somali tribal origins to be used to separate the people to create conflicts that break the peace.

Over the past 18 years all peace agreements between the people of Somalia have been broken.
99% of people in Somalia are Muslim but the depth of knowledge in Islam for many is low.

Most knowledge of the religion is in the Arabic language however the Somali people speak the Somali language and many have a limited understanding of the Arabic language.
.
Solution-
1. Teach the high moral code of Islam in the Somali language.
Most existing Somali radios teach religion in the Arabic language.
.
2. Establish a short wave radio station to broadcast in the Somali language.
Short Wave Radio can cover all Somalia.
Most existing Somalia radios use FM.
FM is usually technically limited to a 25 km radius.
.
Radio programs-

Radio programs would be based on the Sunnah (what the Messenger did, said and approved) and not the politics of today.

Where there is disagreement between different schools in Islam the reasoning behind the differences of thought can be explained from each schools point of view by referring to the Sunnah.

This will allow listeners to understand the different schools of thought in Islam and be better able to identify the correct path in Islam.

People in Somalia are in conflict because of a lack of knowledge in their religion.

For example some say that the start of the month of Ramadan is when you see the crescent of the Moon, others say it starts in Somalia at the same time that it starts in Mecca and others say it starts as calculated by astronomical means.

This is one example of conflict that causes unnecessary division among the people in Somalia.

Each year some people say they are correct and you are incorrect.

Radio can address this and similar unnecessary conflict that results from a lack of knowledge.
Matters that cause division can be discussed on radio with the reasons for the different views included.

Finally the Sunnah could be stated so that listeners are able to understand the correct view.
.
Radio operation-

Translation to Somali must be in a kind and friendly language to avoid offence to different views.

The radio is not promoting one school because it recognizes that many schools follow the Sunnah.

The radio will encourage friendly constructive discussions on the opinions of the different schools of thought so that listeners can understand which ideas, actions and thoughts coincide with the Sunnah.
.
Broadcasting of human hatred is not permitted and is not Sunnah.
.
The radio will be open to all schools of Sunnah thought to come together in friendship and learn together as brothers and sisters.
.
The following English language programs from the Australian Muslim community in Sydney are now ready to be translated to the Somali language.
.
The material below is from one school of Sunnah thought only because it is the first I have received.

.

Introduction to Islam.

Before creation of the Universe.

Existence of God.

Allah (God) sent messengers.

Importance of the correct understanding of God.

Tawhid (Tawheed, Tauheed) is the belief in one God.

Tawhid is the study of the creator and the created.

God does not resemble his creation.

Muslims believe in the Holy books of all the Prophets such as the Book of Psalms (Az-Zabur, Songs of praise to God originally sung to the music of the harp string instrument, a part of the Old Testament Bible of Prophet David, Dawud, Dawood) and the Books of Moses (The Torah, Taurat, Tawrat a part of the Old Testament Bible of Prophet Moses, Musa) and the Gospels of Jesus (The Gospel, Evangel, Good News, Injil, Injeel, fragments of which survive in the New Testament Bible of Prophet Jesus, Isa) and the Koran (Quran of Prophet Mohamed).

The Koran (Quran).

Islam is the religion of all the prophets and messengers.

God, creation and prophets.

Prophet Mohamed, his companions and Angel Gabriel (Jibral).

Creator and creation.

Prophet Mohamed is the last prophet.

Prophet Mohamed is the last messenger.

Relics of Prophet Mohamed.

Do not exaggerate in glorifying beloved Prophet Mohamed.

Becoming a Muslim.

The 4 major Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah schools in Islam. (The people following the path of the Sunnah, The people following the path of Prophet Mohamed)

Creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah (The beliefs and deeds of Prophet Mohamed).

Sufism.

Sufism methodology.

The guided Sufis.

The misguided Sufis.

The true Sufis.

The false Sufi claimers.

Worship.

Correct religious knowledge.

People that do not understand Tawhid have strayed away from Islam.

Tawhid is the correct understanding of God.

Warn against books that teach false beliefs in Islam.

Avoid straying from the beliefs of Prophet Mohamed.

The false and the true beliefs regarding the nature of Allah (God).

Beware of beliefs based on incorrect understanding of verses in the Quran and the Hadiths.

Ask properly trained Imams and Sheikhs about the correct meaning of the verses in the Quran and the Hadiths.

Beware of incorrect English translations of the Quran and Hadiths.

Beware of Imams and Sheikhs who have incorrect understanding of the Quran and Hadiths.

Beware of false claimers to Prophethood and Godhood.

Do not follow the judgments of ignorant people.

Warn against the teaching of false beliefs in Islam.

Beware of the misguided innovation of Muslim killing Muslim.

The first Muslim (Believer) to innovate unlawful killing is in the story of Cain (Habil) and Abel (Kabil, Qabil).

Terrorism and extremism are not the teaching of Prophet Mohamed.

Suicide killing of innocent people is not the teaching of Prophet Mohamed.

The killing of innocent people is not the teaching of Prophet Mohamed.

Assassination of secular Government officials is not the teaching of Prophet Mohamed.

Innovations of guidance and misguidance.

Every Muslim will be questioned on Judgment day.

Allah (God) said in the Quran that some believers (Muslims) will be punished for their sins on the Day of Judgment.

Some people who call themselves Muslim are not Muslim because their beliefs and actions are different to those of Prophet Mohamed.

The sins of some Muslims is so great that even the intercession of Prophet Mohamed will not save them from the Hell Fire of God (Allah) on the Day of Judgment. A Hadith of Imam al-Bukhari quotes Prophet Mohamed saying that on the Day of Judgment he (Prophet Mohamed) will see some people being pushed away from him, from his basin al-Hawd (the drinking water for his followers on the path to Paradise) and he will say these are people of my Nation. Then it will be said to the Prophet YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DID AFTER YOUR DEATH.

Muslims follow the belief and actions of Prophet Mohamed for the sake of Allah (God) only. This is the same as the belief and actions of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah (The people following the path of the Sunnah, The people following the path of Prophet Mohamed).

.

God.

Allah (God), The exalted (Subhanahu Wa Ta-ala, SWT, swt).

Worship.

The oneness of God (Tawhid).

Sunni creed- Fatwa 2514.

God.

Names of God.

Nothing is like God.

Whatever you imagine in your mind cannot resemble God.

God does not resemble his creations.

The first obligation of a Muslim.

The 13 Attributes of God.

Allah is al-Hayah (the one attributed with life). The life of God (Allah) is not like the human life of soul, bone and flesh.

Allah is al-Awal (al-Awwal, al-Qadim, al-Qidam the one whose existence has no beginning). God (Allah) is the only one whose existence has no beginning.

Allah is al-Qayum (al-Qayyum, the one who is free of any dependence). God (Allah) is the one whose nature is to exist without depending on anyone or anything.

Allah is al-Ahad (the one to whom division does not apply). God (Allah) has no body, volume or shape.

Allah is al-Qiyamu (the one who is independent of need). The existence of God (Allah) has no end.

Allah is al-Baqa' (the ever lasting). God (Allah) is never in a state of non existence.

Allah, God manages all the creations. God (Allah) has given Angels some duties in his management of his creations.

Allah is al-Wahid (al-Wahdaniyya, the one who has no partner). Nothing has the right to be worshipped except God (Allah).

The speech (kalam) of God.

Existence of God.

God exists without a place.

Correct faith in God.

God exists without a beginning.

God knows all things.

The will of God.

Wisdom of God.

.

Before creation.

Before creation of the Universe.

God (Allah) existed before his creations.

God (Allah) existed eternally and there was no place, no night and no day.

God (Allah) is now as he was then without a place.

.

Creation.

Creation of the Universe.

Order of creation. God (Allah’s) first creations were water, place and time. The creations included the following.

1. Al- Arsh (Al-'Arsh, The throne) the ceiling of Paradise which is the largest of the creations.

2. The Pen (The Upper Pen, The High Pen) in the form of light having a length equal to the distance between the Earth and the first sky (first heaven).

3. The Guarded Tablet (Protected Tablet, Al-Lawh Al-Mahfudh, Lawh-i-Mahfuz, Lawhe Mahfuz) like one giant pearl surrounded with rubes.

4. The Pen wrote for 50,000 years on the Guarded Tablet what had occurred and what will occur until The Day of Judgment (the end of our world).

5. The Heavens and Earth and what is between them was created in 6 days (6 periods of time). At that time one day (one period of time) for God was not our 24 hours but thousands of our years.

6. Seven skies, each sky separate from the other sky by a vast distance. The Stars, our Sun, Planets, Moon, and the blue sky are within the first sky.

7. Seven Earths, each Earth is separate from the other Earths by a vast distance.

8. Hellfire under the seventh Earth.

9. Paradise above the seventh sky and its ceiling called Al- Arsh (The Throne).

10. Al- Kursi (The Chair, Footstool, like a ring that extends around the creation).

11. Friday (the sixth day, sixth period) was the time of the creation of Angels, Jinn and Human.

12. Angels were created from light.

13. The first Jinn named Azazil was created from fire. Azazil was a Muslim (worshiper of God) and is the father of all Jinn.

14. The first Human named Adam was created from clay. Adam was a Muslim (worshiper of God) and is the father of all humans. An Angel was ordered to gather every type of soil (hard, smooth, ruff, red, black, white and yellow). The soils were taken to Paradise and mixed with water to make clay and the shape of Adam was molded in the form of an adult and the soul blown into him. (Adam’s image belongs to God but Adam’s image does not resemble God in anyway).

15. God gave Adam knowledge without the need of a teacher. Adam (now blood, bone and flesh) sneezed and the first thing he said was Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin (Alhamdulillahi Rabil Alamin, I praise the Lord of the worlds).

16. In Paradise Azazil (the first Jinn) noticed that Adam’s body had cavities in it and it was not like the Angels. Angels have no hollow parts and do not eat, drink or sleep. He wondered why God made such a creation. He deduced that this type of creation could not survive without support like food and drink.

17. In Paradise, Adam was very big 60 cubits in height and 7 cubits in width. (After Judgment Day the people admitted to Paradise will be given the same dimensions as Adam).

18. Prophet Mohamed said that Azazil a Muslim Jinn (worshiper of God) use to say to Adam, “God created you for an important matter.”

19. God ordered the Angels to prostrate (bend down in order to greet and honour) Adam and they all did. God ordered the Angels to ask Adam the names of everything. The Angels realised they did not have that knowledge and that Adam was given that knowledge. God ordered Adam to tell the Angels about the names of things. This is how all the Angels knew that Adam (later to be known as Prophet Adam) had a rank that was higher than their kind. (Prophets and messengers are ranked above all the Angels and above the highly righteous Humans and Jinn). The special Angels like Angel Gabriel (Jibral) and Angel Michael (Mikail, Mikhail Michail, Meekaal) are ranked higher than the highly righteous Humans and Jinn. Highly righteous Humans and Jinn are ranked higher than the other Angles who do not have a special rank.

20. Azazil (the first Jinn) was ordered to prostrate with the Angels to Adam but he not only refused but he objected to God’s order. (This was the first blasphemy). When God sent an Angel to ask Azazil why he did not follow the order Azazil said “I am better than Adam, you created me from the pure flame of fire and you created him from clay.”

21. Azazil now became known as Iblis (the one driven away from goodness, Satin, The Devil, Shaitan, Shaytan, Shaaytan). After Satin was dammed by being taken away from Goodness he asked God if he could live till the Day of Resurrection. God did not grant him that instead he will die like all other living humans and jinn on the Day of Judgment when Angel Israfil will blow the horn.

22. Eve (Bibi Hawa), the first woman was created from the shortest left rib of Adam as an adult. God ordered Adam and Eve to enjoy Paradise without hardship, tiredness or work. This is the same Paradise the believers will enter on the Day of Judgment. God forbad eating from one tree and warned about the whisperings of Satin.

23. When Iblis (the one driven away from goodness, the first Jinn) was sent out of Paradise he did not go immediately and whispered to Eve (Bibi Hawa) and Adam that the fruit of the forbidden tree gave immortality. Eve encouraged Adam and they both disobeyed God by eating from that tree.

24. God punished Eve (Bibi Hawa) and Adam (in this life only) by moving them from Paradise to Earth. Adam and Eve both immediately repented for their sin. Their sin was neither an enormous sin nor an abject sin. The human children of Adam and Eve do not carry any sin as a consequence of what their mother and father did.

25. God gave Prophet Adam the revelations sending him as a Prophet and messenger to his children. Eve gave birth each time to twins (a boy and a girl). A man could marry his sister but not his twin. Prophet Seth later changed this law.

26. God punished Iblis (in this life) by moving him from Paradise to Earth. Iblis (the one driven away from goodness, Satin, The Devil, Shaitan, Shaytan, Shaaytan, The first Jinn) will also be punished in Hellfire after his death because the sin of objecting to the order of God (blasphemy) is an enormous sin. The jinn children of Iblis do not carry any sin as a consequence of what their father did.

27. God (Allah) created human and jinn for the purpose of ordering them to worship him. He sent Prophets and Messengers as guides to show the people how to worship him. To this day the message to worship God (Allah the creator) and his promise of everlasting life to those who are the obedient of his creations continues through the generations of human and jinn. There exist both jinn Muslim (worshippers of God) and jinn non believers and human Muslim (worshippers of God) and human non believers.

28. Prophet Mohamed said that Friday is the best of the days (the sixth period in creation) because it is the day Prophet Adam was created.

29. Life exists on other Earths.

Difference between the eternal and the created.

Difference between God and creation.

Angels, Jinn and Humans.

Every action and every thing is created by God.

Whatever God wills will happen (Destiny).

Good and evil are created by the will of God.

The purpose of Human life is to praise the creator (God, Allah) and thereby gather rewards for the Day of the Judgment of all good and bad deeds.

The soul.

.

Death.

At the time of death the Angel of Death, Angel Azrael (Azra'il, Asra'il, Azra'eil, Izra'il, Izrail, Izrael, Azrail, Ashriel, Azaril, Azraille, Azriel Azryel, Ezraeil, Ozryel) takes the soul from the body.

The Soul.

The good Soul will pass the first sky (first heaven) to Illiyin (illiyin) in the seventh sky (the seventh heaven) where it is inscribed (registered) as a good soul. Paradise (Jenna) is above the seventh heaven.

The bad soul is not allowed past the first sky and is sent to Sijjin (SijjÃŽn, Sijjeen) in the seventh Earth where the record of bad souls is inscribed (registered). Hellfire (Jahannam) is under the seventh Earth.

The Grave.

The grave is filled with darkness and worms.

When the dead body has been buried and its soul has been registered as good or bad it is returned to the body and sense comes back to the person who is then questioned by two Angels Munkar (Monker) and Nakir. The Angels will ask “what was your belief? Who was your Lord? What was your religion? Who was your Prophet?” The non believer will only be able to say I use to believe what other people use to believe.

The grave is a place of punishment for the non believer. Muslims who have sinned without repenting are either punished or forgiven in the grave. Pious (faithful) Muslims (believers) will have enjoyment in the grave while they wait for the Day of Judgment.

.

Nearing Judgment Day.

The time of the Day of Judgment is only known to God (Allah).

The minor signs for the nearing of Judgment Day are when the poor people become rich and build tall buildings, when female slaves give birth to their masters and superiors, extensive number of earthquakes, diseases previously unknown will appear, many weather changes will occur and time will appear to move quickly.

The major signs for the nearing of Judgment Day include the following.

The arrival of al-Mahdi Mohamed ibn Abdallah (Mahdi, Medhi, al-Mehdi, the guided one).

The passing of 30 impostors (false Prophets) who will claim Prophethood. The last imposter will be Al- Masih ad-Dajjal (Al- Masih ad-Dajal).

Arrival of al-Masih ad-Dajjal (the one eyed impostor who will claim to be God) will quickly travel between countries, make rain fall and make crops grow. Al-Masih ad-Dajjal the one eyed deceiver (liar) will bring bread during a time of famine and test the believers and see if they will leave Islam for that bread and recognize him as God. The believers know from the Tawhid (the study of the creator and the created) that God does not resemble man in any way and they will stay as far away from him as possible.

He will bring 2 rivers (one looks like water and the other looks like fire). Do not believe what Al-Masih ad-Dajjal says. Prophet Mohamed advised Muslims when that time comes to drink from the river of fire (it is the real water that is made to look like fire). Those that drink from the river that looks like water (but is really fire) will be burnt.

The tribes of Gog (Yajuj) and Magog (Majuj) will be 99 percent of the population on Earth.

Return of Prophet Jesus (Isa) who will live on Earth for 40 years.

Prophet Jesus (Isa) will defeat Dajjal and the invading people of Gog (Yajuj) and Magog (Majuj).

.

The Day of Judgment (Judgment Day, The Final Day, The Last Day, The Hour).

1. Earth was created by God (Allah) as a temporary living place and it will be brought to an end by God. Nothing in this world is eternal and everything will eventually perish including life on Earth.

2. In the Quran God said “the Day of Judgment will come suddenly but most of mankind does not believe.”

3. The Quran made clear that the time for the end of the world is known only to God (Allah) and that even the Prophets, Angels and Jinn do not know when the world will end.

4. Angel Israfil will blow a horn to mark the start of the Day of Judgment and everything including man, jinn and animals will die and all life on Earth will come to an end. Most of the inhabitants of the sky (the Angels) will also die. When Angel Israfil blows the horn he also will die and his soul will be taken out of his body. The mountains on Earth will crumble into dust and nothing will be as it was before.

5. The scholars of Islam have said that when “The hour” comes the few Angels that will not die include the 4 Angels that are carrying The Ceiling of Paradise known as Al- Arsh (Al-'Arsh, The throne, The largest of all the creations), the Angel guardians of Hellfire (Jahannam) and the Angels in charge of Paradise (Jenna).

6. Judgment Day will be a day of great horror for the majority because it is the day that our deeds we be judged and no one will escape the consequences of what they have done, said or believed. On “The Final Day” pregnant women will drop their babies irrespective of how far into the pregnancy they are.

7. The destruction of this world by God will be followed by a world different to what we knew. All the graves will open on the Day of Judgment and the dead will be resurrected (brought back to life) and gathered in one place. The heat of the Sun will be great and there will be no shade for those who had sinned without repenting before their death.

8. The judgment of all creations will be done in a very short moment of time. All people will be judged on what they have done, said and believed.

9. On Judgment Day animals are punished by any animal they mistreated and both will then disintegrate to dust. Animals are not accountable for belief and do not go to Heaven or Hell.

10. Muslims believe that Earth is moving towards its end and that the hereafter (Hellfire and Paradise) is moving towards its beginning. Life on Earth is a time for work with no judgment for what we do and tomorrow in the hereafter is the time of judgment for what we did on Earth and there is no work.

11. Muslims believe that after death you will not be given a second chance to come back to Earth to prepare for the hereafter and therefore the wise person prays and works today for the hereafter without deferring or delaying.

12. Muslims say “if you don’t think about being successful in the hereafter than what do you think about?” and “most of the problems that people have are caused by worrying about things that are nothing compared to your situation in the hereafter."

13. Muslims believe that the wise man and woman judge themselves in this life everyday. Before going to sleep they ask themselves “am I going to be safe in the hereafter?” or “What did I do during this day?” or “Did I spend the day like a person who sleeps and makes no preparations?”

14. When going to sleep one highly righteous Muslim would imagine that he was in Hellfire and he would ask himself “what do I wish”. He would then answer himself “I wish I could go back to Earth and work for the hereafter.” Then he would open his eyes and he would say “Now I am in my wish.” Such people are God fearing because they don’t forget to think about the hereafter every day.

15. Every night when going to sleep another highly righteous Muslim would say “Hellfire Hellfire what do I have to do with Hellfire.” This means why should I do something that would make me deserving of residing in Hellfire?. Instead of only thinking about eating, drinking and enjoyments the wise Muslim never forgets to think about what will save him or her in the hereafter.

16. Prophet Mohamed said that “A time will come upon people when one who is stead fast to his religion becomes like one who is holding a burning coal and he will say I am not Muslim." Some people might leave Islam for the sake of money and reputation. Such people are concerned about this life and have forgotten the hereafter.

17. Weighing of the good and bad deeds.

18. Intercession on Judgment Day.

.

Paradise and Hell fire.

Description of Paradise (Heaven, Jannah, Jenna, Janna, Jennah). Paradise (Jenna) is above the seventh sky (seventh heaven).

Surprise in Paradise.

Description of Hell fire (Hellfire, Jahannam).

Hell fire (Hellfire, Jahannam) is a place of such punishment that if a person could have lived 1000 years of fun and pleasure on Earth after one moment in Hellfire they will say I have never experienced any pleasure in my life.

The people in Hell Fire (Jahannam) will drink al- Hamim (Hamim) boiling water and eat Zakum (Az-Zaquum, Zakoom, Al- Zakoom, Zaqoom, al- Zaqoom), a tree whose fruit has a terrible smell and taste. Hellfire (Jahannam) is located under the seventh Earth.

Paradise and Hellfire and those who will live within will exist with no end (forever).

.

Prophets and Messengers.

Prophets, Messengers and followers.

God sent Prophets to guide people to do the good and avoid the evil.

All Prophets and Messengers are Muslim. They all believe in the same one God.

Attributes of the Prophets.

Peace be upon them all. Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH, pbuh). However the following is better-

May the blessings and the peace of Allah be upon them all.

May the blessings and the peace of Allah be upon him- Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Sallallaahu'alayhi wasallam, Salallaahu'alayheewasallam, (SAW, saw).

1. In 12 BH (610 CE) Prophet Mohamed (Prophet Muhammad, son of Abdullah) of Mecca (Makkah, in the Arabian Peninsula, Saudi Arabia) was 40 years old when he first received revelations of the existence of the one God (Allah) from Angel Gabriel (Jibral) in the cave of Mount Hira (Jabal Al-Noor, Jabal An-Noor, Place of the revelation of the Quran (al-Qur'an), Mountain of Light) 5 km north of Mecca.

2. In Mecca 99 percent of people worshipped stone idols, the most famous idols were housed in the Kabah (Ka’bah, Ka’aba, Kaaba, Ka’abah, Kaabah). Prophet Mohamed preached the message of the existence of the one God (Allah) to a few who became believers. Among the first to join Prophet Mohamed’s call to Islam (the belief in and submission to the one God) were members of his family and his friends including his wife Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (Khadija), his friend Abu Bakr and his cousin Ali ibn Abi Talib.

3. In 8 BH (614 CE) on Mount Safa (as-Safa, al-Safa, Aş-Şafā, a hill located in the Mosque known today as Masjid al Haram in Mecca) Prophet Mohamed openly called the people of Mecca to worship the true one God (Allah) and not the false stone gods. The stone idol worship authorities said “Is this why you called us here?” They accused the Prophet of being a poet, sorcerer, magician, crazy and insane.

4. Prophet Mohamed was born into a powerful tribe of stone idol worshippers. He was later offered money and the position of a King if he stopped talking about the belief in one God and stopped calling the people to leave the worship of stone idols. Prophet Mohamed said “if you put the Sun in my right hand and the Moon in my left hand (if you give me the world) I would not stop calling people to this religion (the belief in one God). I will be firm until God gives victory to this religion and it spreads or I die while I am calling people to Islam (submission to the one God) because of my fear of the punishment of God (Allah).” Prophet Mohamed was saying that his fear of disobeying God (Allah) is greater than his fear of man.

5. In 7 BH (614 CE) the first Muslim family that had converted to Islam and who were outside of the family and close friends of Prophet Mohamed were publicly tortured by the stone idol worship authority in Mecca. Most Muslims were from poor people who did not have a big family or big tribe to protect or support them by way of retaliation against persecution. Prophet Mohamed would visit the public area where the first Muslim family was being tortured to assure them of their place in Paradise but he was powerless to stop this torture. The family of 3 (father, mother and son) were tortured and offered freedom if they left Islam (the belief in one God). Sumayyah bint Khabat (mother of Ammar bin Yasir) who was among the first 7 people who converted to Islam became the first Muslim to be martyred (die under torture because she refused to leave her belief in the one God). The next to die in public torture was her husband Yasir bin Amir (father of Ammar bin Yasir). Ammar bin Yasir (son of Sumayyah and Yasir) was freed by the stone idol worshippers when he said what he was ordered to say. Ammar told Prophet Mohamed what happened and the Prophet revealed that talk under torture was not binding because Ammar bin Yasir remained Muslim in his heart.

6. The few Muslims that came from big tribes (such as Prophet Mohamed) were protected because no one would dare harm such a person for fear of retaliation (revenge) from their tribe.

7. In 7BH (614 - 615 CE) Prophet Mohamed gave permission to 12 men and 4 women to escape the persecution, torture and killing in the first Muslim emigration (hijra, hijrah, hejira, hegira, hegirae) from Mecca (Arabian peninsula) to Habasha (Al- Habasha, Abyssinia, Ethiopia in East Africa).

8. After living a short time in Habasha (Ethiopia) news arrived that the people of Mecca (Arabian Peninsula) had embraced Islam so the Muslims in Ethiopia returned to Mecca only to find that the persecution on the Muslims and the number of new Muslims had both increased.

9. In 6BH (616 CE) the second Muslim emigration (hijra) back to Habasha (Ethiopia) consisted of 82 or 83 men and 18 women included Jafar Abu Talib (son of Abu Talib, brother of Ali Abu Talib) and Asma bint Umays (wife of Jafar Abu Talib).

10. The Mecca stone idol worship authorities sent a delegation to Habasha (Abyssinia, Ethiopia) to ask the Negus (King of Ethiopia) to give them the Muslims because they were wanted for causing trouble in Mecca. The Christian King of Habasha (Ethiopia), Ashamat al-Negashi (Ashama bin Al-Abjar) questioned Jafar Abu Talib who told of Prophet Mohamed’s revelation about the one God. The Negus (King) said “what your Prophet came with is what Jesus came with (that is, he is the Prophet of God and that there is only one God to be worshipped) then he wept (cried) and became Muslim. The Negus (King of Ethiopia) returned the gifts brought to him by the Mecca stone idol delegation and granted safety to the Muslims.

11. In 5 BH (617 CE) the leaders of the idol worshippers of Mecca saw that the religion of the belief and submission to one God, Allah (Islam) was spreading in their area and nothing they did had stopped its rise. They said “let us kill Prophet Mohamed to stop this religion” but Abu Talib (Uncle of Prophet Mohamed and a Quraish clan head) would not agree to the killing of a member of his family. Instead it was agreed to drive the Muslims out of Mecca into a restricted area 65 km outside the town to a mountain trail (narrow valley called Shi'b Abi Talib, Shi’bi Abi Talib) and boycott them by refusing to buy, sell, trade or marry with them unless the people denounced Prophet Mohamed and handed him to the Quraish (Quraysh) clan Mecca stone idol worshipping authority. Outside aid was prohibited and 3 years of hardship especially for the crying hungry children of the boycotted Muslims (consisting of 40 adults of the Hashim and Muttalib clan with their families) intensified.

12. In 3 BH (619 CE) Prophet Mohamed told Abu Talib (Uncle of Prophet Mohamed and a Quraish clan head) that God had revealed to him that all the words (except the word Allah) on the boycott agreement had been eaten by ants. Abu Talib with the other stone idol authority members checked the boycott agreement and found that only the word Allah was readable. Some of the idol worshippers said that boycotting members of their own tribe and their own family was wrong. Some disregarded the boycott agreement and went to Shi'b Abi Talib to tell the Muslims that they could return to live inside Mecca.

13. Soon after, also in 3 BH (619 CE) Abu Talib (uncle of Prophet Mohamed and a member of the stone idol worship authority) died as a non believer but as a constant protector to Prophet Mohamed. Prophet Mohamed’s protection from within the stone idol worship authority disappeared.

14. A few days later, also in 3 BH (619 CE) Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (the wife of Prophet Mohamed and the first person to accept that he was the messenger of God, Allah) died.

15. Having no further success in Mecca Prophet Mohamed went to the town of Taif (Ta'if, Tai'f) 98 km southeast from Mecca) to call the people of the tribe of Thaqif to stop worshipping idols and accept Islam (worship and submission to the one God, Allah). The people rejected him and sent children and slaves to mock and laugh and curse and throw stones at him leaving him with bleeding feet. Prophet Mohamed prayed to God “Oh God (Allah) my goal is to please you (to obey you). I don’t pay attention to the harm that is inflicted on me as a result of me doing my job (to call people to worship the one God, Allah). As long as you God are pleased with me that is my aim, I am obedient to you so that you will not punish me.” The Prophet was showing that harm and name calling is not personal and is something that one must accept when promoting the religion.

16. Prophet Mohamed returned from Taif to the increasing dangers against him in Mecca.

Visiting the grave of the Prophet. In the Hadith from Al-Hafiz al-Yahsubi, Prophet Mohamed said whoever visits my grave is guaranteed my intercession.

Asking God for something. Muslims believe that if you were to ask something of someone then ask it of God (Allah) and if you were to call upon someone for help then call upon God (Allah).

Asking God for something by mentioning the name of Prophet Mohamed or the name of a righteous Muslim in prayer. When a Muslim mentions the name of a dead person one is not praying to the dead. Only God (Allah) can hear prayer. Mentioning the name of a dead person can be in a prayer to God (Allah) to remember a righteous Muslim. “Oh God (Allah) I ask you and I direct myself to you in supplication (in requesting) by (mentioning the name of) our Prophet Mohamed the Prophet of mercy. Oh Mohamed I direct myself to God (Allah) by you (I direct myself to God (Allah) by remembering and blessing Prophet Mohamed the faithful slave of God) and asking God, Allah that my need would be fulfilled."

His student Sheikh 'Asheesh (Shaykh 'Asheesh) repeatedly asked if he (Sheikh al-Albaanee) had memorized a hundred thousand hadeeth and Sheikh al-Albaanee repeatedly replied "This does not concern you." His student Shaykh 'Asheesh said that did not imply anything except his extreme humility." There is a book with the name Al-Albaanee on the cover that gives him the title of Muhaqqiq (jurist) and describes Al-Albaanee in the introduction as the great Muhaddith (jurist). Sheikh al-Albaanee (an Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah Sunni Muslim) said "I did not write a single letter of that supposed tahqiq (editorship) of mine!" and he warned against the “very dangerous anti-Shari`a fatwa (legal opinion) philosophy” in that book. He said “I do not sanction suicide missions.”

.

THE CORRECT PATH IN ISLAM.

Muslims follow the belief and actions of Prophet Mohamed for the sake of Allah (God) only. This is the same as the belief and actions of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah (The people following the path of the Sunnah, The people following the path of Prophet Mohamed).

.

THE WRONG PATH IN ISLAM.

Hypocrites in the Muslim faith.

The hypocrites in the Muslim faith say they are Muslim but in their heart they do not believe in Prophet Mohamed. Politics, relationships, money, or power is their interest and their path.

Wrong belief.

A person with wrong belief cannot be classified as Muslim even if the person’s name is Mohamed or Abdullah or Ahmed. The name is not what makes a person a Muslim. What makes you a Muslim is to have the correct belief in your heart about God (Allah) and his messenger.

.

Al- Ahmadiyya, Al- Ahmadiya, Ahmadiya, Ahmadiyya, Ahmediyyah, Al- Ahmadiyyah, Ahmadiyah, Ahmadiyyah, Kadiyani, Qadiyani, Qadiyanis, Qadianis.

The founder of Ahmadiyya who died in 1908 said he was the promised Messiah and Mahdi. Prophet Mohamed was the last of all the reveled Prophets. Muslims continue to wait for the promised Messiah and Mahdi.

.

The Nation of Islam (USA), Ummah al-Islamu (USA), Ummah al-Islāmu (USA).

Nation of Islam (USA) believed God is black and that black people go to Paradise and white people go to Hell. These are not the teachings of Prophet Mohamed. There is no racism in Islam because any person can be a Muslim (believer in God).

.

Al- Kadariyya, Al- Qadariya, Qadariya, Al- Qadariyya, Qadariyya, al-Kadariyya, Kadariyya, Qadarites.

Al- Kadariyya believes that man created evil. This is different to the belief of Prophet Mohamed who said that God created everything.

.

Al- Majusu, Majusu

Prophet Mohamed likened the beliefs of Al- Majusu to the beliefs of Al- Kadariyya (that is their beliefs were both outside Islam).

.

Al- Barahima, Al- Barhamiyya.

Al- Barahima misconceptions and ideology concerning God and Prophets can be rejected with the correct knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah).

.

Al- Mujasimah, Mujasimah, Al- Mujasima, Mujasima,

Al- Mujasima claimed that God (Allah) like his creations is made from a substance and is a body. (This means that God has limitations). This is different to the belief of Prophet Mohamed who said that God does not resemble his creations in any way.

.

Al- Murjiah, Murjiah, Al- Murji'ah, Murji'ah, Al- Murjia, Murjia, Murje'ah, Murjeah, Murjites, Murji'ites, The Delayers (of deeds isolated from faith), The Postponers (of actions isolated from faith), Antinomians (violators of religious law in actions, behaviors and beliefs), The misguided faction.

Al- Murjiah believes that faith only requires words and not deeds or actions. They believe that a person who makes the Testification (Declaration) of Faith to become a Muslim will definitely not go to Hell even after committing every kind of sin.

This is different to the Hadith of Imam al-Bukhari which quotes Prophet Mohamed saying that On the Day of Judgment he (Prophet Mohamed) will see some people being pushed away from him, from his basin al-Hawd (the drinking water for his followers on the path to Paradise) and he will say these are people of my Nation. Then it will be said to the Prophet YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DID AFTER YOUR DEATH.

.

Al- Jabriya, Jabriya, Al- Jabriyya, Jabriyya

Al- Jabria include among their beliefs that a person who makes the Testification (Declaration) of Faith to become a Muslim will definitely not go to Hell even after committing every kind of sin. This is like the Al- Murjiah. Correct knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) protects Islam from the wrong path of Al- Jabriya.

.

Al- Hashawia, Hashawia, Al- Hashawiya, Hashawiya, Al- hashawiyyah, hashawiyyah.

Al- Hashawia have gone astray by saying that the speech of God (Allah) is like letters, sounds and voices and that if someone is reading the Quran you will hear the true speech of God (Allah). This is against the teachings of Prophet Mohamed and the Quran which say that nothing resembles God (Allah) in any way.

Human speech starts and stops and is therefore created and not eternal. Human speech does not resemble the eternal speech of the creator in any way.

.

Al- Mutazilah, Mutazilah, Mu'tazilah, Al- Mu'tazilah.

The Mutazilah believes that humans create their own actions. (This means that God is not the creator of everything). This belief is essentially the same as Al-Majus, Majus who believe there is one God (creator) for good and one God (creator) for evil. The beliefs of Al- Mutazilah end up at this same point with more than one creator. This belief is different to the belief of Prophet Mohamed who said that God (Allah) is the creator of everything.

Al- Mutazilah has also gone astray by saying that the speech of God (Allah) is something he creates in others. (This means the speech of God is created). Others say the letters in the Quran is the eternal speech of God (Allah). Both are not correct because Muslims believe that God (Allah) is attributed with speech that is eternal and has no beginning and no end. It is not a voice, sound or language (English, Arabic etc).

Muslims believe that the Quran once read is indicative of the speech of God (Allah) but it is not the true speech of God (Allah) which has no beginning and no end.

Al- Quran has two meanings. The Muslim belief is that al-Quran (the eternal speech of God, Allah) is not created however the al-Quran (the papers we carry in the hand and the letters that we read and the sounds that represent those letters) they are created. That is, the paper and the written words that start and stop in the form of sentences are created but they indicate the eternal speech of God (Allah) which is not created. Correct knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) protects Islam from the wrong path of Al- Mutazilah.

.

Al- Mushabbihah, Mushabiha, Al Mushabiha, Mushabbihah, Al-Mushabihah.

The Mushabbihah liken God (Allah) to his creation. This is different to the belief of Prophet Mohamed. The belief of Prophet Mohamed is that God (Allah) does not resemble his creation in any way.

.

Al- Khawarij, Khawarij, Khawārij (The Rebels, The Renegades, The Defectors, The Dissenters, The Seceders, The Vendors, The Puritan Radicals, The Deferrers in Good Hope, The Will Disposers).

Al- Khawarij was the start of the Al-Murji'ah movement after the death of Prophet Mohamed when groups of people began to accept ideas about Tawhid (God the creator) that were different from Prophet Mohamed.

Al- Khawarij was the first to introduce a misguided innovation for political and not religious purposes to Islam that legalized the killing of Muslims by judging them as blasphemers.

Al- Khawarij said they were the true Muslims and declared the Sahabah (companions of Prophet Mohamed) Kafirs (not Muslim, non believers).

They fought against the Government of the Companion of Prophet Mohamed, the fourth Caliph, Ali ben Abi Talib. Correct knowledge of Tawhed (God, Allah) protects Islam from the wrong path of Al-Khawarij.

.

Al- Bayhasiyyah, Al-Bayhasiyyah.

The Al- Bayhasiyyah say if the Muslim ruler of Muslims does not refer in all matters to the rules of the religion then Government officials are blasphemer non Muslims.

They kill Muslims and call them non Muslims. This is the same action as al- Khawarij with the same political interest. Correct knowledge of Tawhed (God, Allah) protects Islam from the wrong path of Al- Bayhasiyyah.

.

Al- Jamaah al- Islamiyah (Egypt), Jamaah Islamiyah (Egypt).

Al-Jamaah al-Islamiyah (Egypt) introduced to Islam a misguided innovation for political purposes that said not only Muslim Government officials but also ordinary Muslim citizens can be killed.

They believe because Muslim citizens are accepting the situation they are in now and they are not trying to make a revolution against their rulers they are accepting the state of blasphemy so the citizens of that country are blasphemers as well.

They say by killing children we are doing them a favour because if we leave them until they grow and they become pubescent they are blasphemers so they go to Hell Fire. But when we kill them under puberty they go to Paradise, so we are doing them a favour.

They kill Muslims and call them non Muslims. This is the same action as al- Khawarij with the same political interest.

.

FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAMIC BELIEF.

The belief that God (Allah) is the creator of everything as revealed to Prophet Mohamed.

The beliefs of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah (The people following the path of the Sunnah, The people following the path of Prophet Mohamed) by Imam Fakhruddin Ibn Asakir.

The beliefs of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah by Imam Abu Jafar at-Tahawi.

Prophet Mohamed would first teach Tawhid (the understanding of God, Allah) and the rules of the religion before teaching the Quran. After the death of Prophet Mohamed different understandings developed about words in the Quran used to describe God (Allah). Early scholars in Islam such as Imam Abu Jafar at-Tahawi and Fakhruddin Ibn Asakir used ilmul Tawhid (today also known as ilmul kalam) to stop people from misinterpreting the original understanding of God (Allah) in the Quran. Imam Abu Jafar at-Tahawi documented this knowledge (Aqidah al-Tahawiyya) to help his people some 300 years after the death of Prophet Mohamed.

Today some 1400 years after the death of Prophet Mohamed the meaning of Arabic words have changed even further and the same misunderstandings of some key words describing God (Allah) has led some to have a belief in God (Allah) that is different to the belief of Prophet Mohamed. Correct knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) is the correct path in Islam for the correct understanding of God (Allah) in the words of the Quran. Correct knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) protects the Quran from misinterpretation and protects you from the misinterpretation of God (Allah) by people and organisations that are on the wrong path.

Ilmul Tawhid, ilmul Tawheed, ilmul Tauheed is the Muslim knowledge of God based on the teachings of Prophet Mohamed.

Ilmul Kalam, ilmul kalam is the Muslim knowledge of the attributes of God based on the teachings of Prophet Mohamed.

Ilmul Usul, ilmul usul is the deducing of knowledge by the scholars of Islam based on the teachings of Prophet Mohamed.

Aqidah, Aqida, Akaid, Aqaid, Akaed is the Muslim belief and knowledge about God, Allah. They include the guidelines based on the teachings of Prophet Mohamed related to the teaching of God (Allah) in Islam (ilmul Tawhid, ilmul kalam).

Ilmul Tawhid, ilmul Tawheed, ilmul Tauheed, (ilmul Kalam, Aqidah) is the most valued knowledge in Islam because it specifies the exact belief and knowledge about the creator (God, Allah) as revealed in the Quran and by Prophet Mohamed.

Ilmul Tawhid does not constitute forbidden exploration of the unknown because it has been fully documented and explained by the early scholars of Islam such as Imam Abu Jafar at-Tahawi and Fakhruddin Ibn Asakir. The knowledge of ilmul Tawhid was documented to stop the confusion that was caused in Islam as a result of increasing deviation from fundamental beliefs about the creator (God, Allah) after the death of Prophet Mohamed. Ilmul Tawhid makes clear all the beliefs about the creator (God, Allah) that a person must know to be a Muslim (believer in the one creator). Ilmul Tawhid is the most powerful of the knowledge in Islam because it both guides the believer along the correct path and opens belief to the non believer. Ilmul Tawhid protects the religion by identifying deviations from the fundamental belief of Islam. Ilmul Tawhid is used in the analysis of beliefs to explain the correct path.

People or organisations with beliefs different to those specified in ilmul Tawhid cannot be classified as Muslim because their beliefs about the creator (God, Allah) is different to those of Prophet Mohamed.

Ilmul Tawhid is used to prove the existence of God. If you quote proofs from the Quran a non believer will answer saying I don’t believe in the Quran because I don’t believe in a creator. The companion of Prophet Mohamed, Imam Ali used the knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) to prove to non believers the existence of the creator and the truthfulness of the religion and the Quran.

If you quote proofs from the Quran to another sect in Islam they will quote their own interpretation of that proof from the Quran. To stop the misinterpretation of words that describe God (Allah) in the Quran, the early scholars of Islam made clear all the attributes of God (Allah) that a Muslim must believe. The correct meaning of a word that describes God (Allah) in the Quran is understood correctly when the reader is protected by the correct knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah). Understanding Ilmul Tawhid allows you to read the Quran and understand descriptions about God (Allah) correctly. Ilmul Tawhid is the knowledge that explains why one belief about God (Allah) is correct and why another is incorrect.

Incorrect knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) is the wrong path in Islam. Incorrect knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) leads you to people and organisations that are on the wrong path in Islam. Incorrect knowledge of Tawhid (God, Allah) means that all your prayers are being directed to something that is different to the God (Allah) that every Muslim was commanded to study in his/her religious life. A life time spent in prayer and Quran reading will give no reward towards paradise if you have the wrong understanding of God (Allah). The wrong understanding of God (Allah) is exactly the same as idol worship.

Husband and wife in Islam.

The treatment of women in Islam.

1. Prophet Mohamed said to his companions “the best man among you is the one who is best to his wife and I am the best amongst you to my wives.

2. Women, wives, mothers and daughters are respected in Islam. Prophet Mohamed ordered men to treat their wives with kindness, patience and tolerance. Muslims who do not treat their wives with kindness, patience and tolerance are disobeying the orders of Prophet Mohamed.

3. Prophet Mohamed advised husbands to avoid petty worldly arguments with their wife because wisdom is not present during such arguments and they can lead to the breakup of the family and such arguments do nothing in preparing for the hereafter.

4. In Islam the couple is ordered to overlook the little arguments that can result in a break up of the marriage. If both husband and wife follow what Islam has ordered then both will live as a happy couple.

5. Prophet Mohamed stated the importance of pleasant interactions between husband and wife.

6. Prophet Mohamed said “you are entrusted with your wives so treat them graciously. They are your partners and supporters so you have no right to any more from them.” This means that a husband is not to pressure or burden his wife excessively or with life’s greater responsibilities.

7. The treatment of wives by a husband unjustly is not allowed in Islam. Islam orders that wives be treated correctly, kindly and with respect.

8. The Prophet’s ideal marriage relationship may sound like a dream but it is the way Prophet Mohamed treated his wife’s and the way he has ordered every Muslim to treat their wives. When all husbands follow the rules of the Prophet the society will be like the way its wives are treated, that is, a society of kindness, patience and respect between its members that makes it a pleasure for everyone to live together.

9. No wife of Prophet Mohamed was ever mistreated or dealt with unjustly. Any ignorant group that uses the name of Islam to allow a husband to mistreat his wife is going against the clear example and orders of Prophet Mohamed.

10. Prophet Mohamed treated all his wives equally and he displayed the best of attitude even when under the great pressure of the mounting problems and great opposition to his mission from the dominant hostile religion of the stone idol worshippers of his time. Prophet Mohamed never neglected or hesitated in making kindly and playful contact with his wives and lived with them a life of harmony and moderation. Prophet Mohamed has ordered men to treat their wives in this same ethical manner.

11. Never did any of Prophet Mohamed’s wives complain instead they told of the many situations of his pleasant treatment to them and his excellent conduct to them in the privacy of his own home. Prophet Mohamed allowed his wives to speak of their private life confidently so that men can learn the proper conduct expected of them in their homes and to their wives. This is an example to all men of how a husband of great quality and morals should treat his wife.

12. Aisha bint Abu Bakr, the third wife of Prophet Mohamed said “one day before I put on weight the Prophet raced me and lost the race. On another day and after I had gained some weight the Prophet raced me again and won the race. He then reminded me that we became even.” This shows how the Prophet was kind, pleasant and sweet to his wives and not a person with tyranny and injustice. He showed great mercy in his heart towards his wives, companions and towards all believers.

13. When asked to describe the manner of the Prophet in his home one of the wives of Prophet Mohamed said “I have never seen him frown.” She never saw the Prophet give her a gesture that suggested that he was unhappy or angry in regards to worldly matters.

14. Problems arise in a marriage when the husband and the wife have different worldly and/or religious perspectives. Couples weigh their relationship by judging what the other has done wrong or right in the worldly matters and very few have their focus in place and judge their relationship according to Islam. In Islam marriage problems result when people who know their religion correctly are not applying it or because they don’t know the religion.

15. Islam calls for the respect of women and Prophet Mohamed is the example that shows how this is done.

Permitted and forbidden usage, contracts, trade and relations in Islam.

Riba (Forbidden gain). Blood, singing, dogs, hiring. Trading, exchanging same type items. Exchanging different items, food. Hiring.

Invalid selling.

1. Muslims cannot sell defective articles without stating the existence of the defect.

2. If a car looks band new but it had an accident and it was repaired a Muslim must mention this because by convention this would normally reduce the value of the car.

3. Muslims must be honest in their sale. Cheating, lying or deceiving is sinful.

4. Muslims are not allowed to sell to or buy from a non accountable person such as an insane person or a non pubescent child.

5. Imam ash-Shafi'i ruled that a non pubescent child cannot be sent to buy something in a shop or left to sell things in a shop.

6. Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal (a student of Imam ash-Shafi'i) ruled that a non pubescent child that has reached the age of mental discrimination (7 years and older) can sell in a shop or buy from a shop if his guardian has given permission.

7. The parents of children under 7 years of age in kindergarten or school can send a money order to the school administration and ask them to purchase whatever the child requires from the school canteen.

8. Imam ash-Shafi'i said that it is invalid to buy and sell without an appropriate verbal statement from both parties.

9. Other scholars within the ash-Shafi'i school and other schools allow the buying and selling by mutual agreement without a verbal consent.

10. After agreeing on the price for an article it is sinful for another Muslim to weaken the desire of the buyer or seller to complete their transaction. For example once a price has been agreed another Muslim is not allowed to interfere with the transaction by saying “don’t buy it I will sell the same thing to you at a cheaper price” or “I will sell you a better quality one for the same price” or “don’t sell it to him for $150 I will buy it from you for $175.”

11. Auctions are permitted.

Revoking a sale. (Canceling a sale).

1. Sales of articles that are made during the same session (while both parties are still present) can be cancelled (revoked), goods can be returned and money must be refunded (this is called the choice of being in the same session).

2. Canceling a sale within a period of time (maximum period 3 days). Muslims can take the article home and revoke the sale within 3 days if they wish. It is sinful for another Muslim to weaken the desire of the buyer or seller to complete this transaction however if both parties are in agreement then there is no sin on the third person.

3. If a buyer finds an article has a defect they can return the article to the seller and ask for and must receive a refund.

Inheritance.

1. It is invalid to divide the inheritance of a deceased person or to sell it until the debts of the deceased have been paid, any Will satisfied and the funds provided so that someone can be sent to perform Hajj (pilgrimage to the Kabah in Mecca at a specific time) and Umrah (Umra, Omrah, Omra, pilgrimage to the Kabah in Mecca at anytime) if it was obligatory for the deceased and he had not preformed them. Items can be sold to cover this if no money remains.

2. The inheritance can then be divided according to Islamic law.

3. If the deceased is leaving a wife and young children then the children are orphans and someone will be appointed to look after the orphan’s share of the inheritance.

4. God has warned “those that consume the money of the orphans unjustly let them know they are consuming fire in their stomach and they will be exposed to a severe torture in Hellfire.” Part of everything the father owned belongs to the orphans therefore do not consume any food (coffee, sugar etc) that is left in his house unless you know that food was bought after the death by another person such as the brother of the deceased.

Islamic judgment rulings. (Usul- proof, Fiqh, Fikh- understanding, Sharia- law).

The 7 types of Islamic judgments.

Who can make Islamic judgments?

Islamic judgments made by people without correct knowledge is forbidden.

The knowledge required of an Islamic judge.

Judgments in Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah.

The difference between extreme and moderate judgments in Islam.

1. Extremist views are those who have strict judgments with no justification.

2. An extremist view says that where there are different rulings between the 4 recognised Mujtahids (jurists) of Islam a person who is not an expert jurist cannot pick and choose rulings from those different jurists to find the easiest rulings for himself to follow in regards to different religious matters. They say this is a great sin.

3. The moderate view is that a person who is not an expert Mujtahids (jurists) can follow any of the recognised Mujtahids (jurists) who have made ijtihad (ijtihād, the process of making legal decisions by independent interpretation of legal sources such as the Quran and Sunnah). A person who is not an expert Mujtahid (jurist) can pick and choose rulings from these different experts that are the easiest to follow in regards to different religious matters. It is not sinful to follow the judgments that are easiest for your situation because all of those judgments are valid reliable judgments.

4. The moderate view allows people who are not expert jurists to follow Imam ash-Shafi'i on one ruling or Imam Malik on another ruling or Abu Hanifa on another or Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal in another depending on which ruling is easier.

5. Imam Al-Bukari said whenever Prophet Mohamed had the choice between two matters he would choose the easier one as long as the easier choice was not sinful.

6. The moderate view is that the different judgments on religious matters that have been made by Islam’s 4 recognised major schools are all considered valid and can be adopted anytime by anyone who is not an expert jurist. This is an acceptable view that is in the footsteps of Prophet Mohamed.

7. Imam Al-Bukari said the Messenger of God (Allah) loved that which is easy (lighter, not harder) for his nation.

8. Prophet Mohamed said that a lot of people who directly hear his Hadith (what he says) do not understand the meaning of the words they hear. They hear, they memorise and they narrate it to other people without understanding. (These are the majority of followers who cannot infer and deduce correct judgments and rulings based on the Quran and Hadiths).

9. Prophet Mohamed said that some people who hear what he says from a narrator have more understanding of its meaning than does the narrator who conveyed it. (These are the few expert Mujtahids (jurists) who can infer and deduce correct judgments and rulings based on the Quran and Hadiths).

10. An extremist view is that every Muslim is obligated to go and find for himself the religious proofs before they apply a religious action.

11. The moderate view is that you must study religion the proper way under trustworthy people because few people have a lifetime to search through thousands of proofs for every religious action or have the talent to correctly deduce religious judgments. The moderate view is that the Mujtahids (jurists) of Islam who lived closer to the time period of the Prophet (1400 years ago) have already established the proofs for religious actions. God (Allah) in the Quran orders Muslims to ask the people of knowledge (Mujtahids, jurists, scholars) that which they don’t know. (God does not tell every person to find the proofs for every single action on their own. To do so is beyond the ability of most people. The Quran says that God does not ask man to do that which is beyond his ability).

Iddah is the waiting period for women after divorce or after the death of a husband.

Adultery (fornication) and Omar bin Khattab (Companion of Prophet Mohamed and Second Caliph) upheld that if a person made a valid repentance to God it is not allowed to uncover (tell other people) about a matter that God has sealed.

Divorce traditional ruling upheld by Omar bin Khattab (Companion and Second Caliph).
